Alive RVA Warm Line: Peer Recovery Specialist
SAARA of Virginia is seeking a qualified Peer Recovery Specialist for a full-time position with the Alive RVA Warm Line Project. The qualified person will share his/her lived experience of recovery and provide support to people with co-occurring health issues. The Peer Recovery Specialist will assist in the ongoing operation of the Warm Line Project, which offers telephonic recovery support and resources to individuals in the Commonwealth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Engage individuals interested in seeking addiction recovery and applying a person-centered approach to Peer Recovery Support.
· The Peer Support Specialist will provide emotional, informational, instrumental, and affiliation support to individuals both in the community and in an Emergency Department setting in the metro Richmond area.
Offer resources and recovery tools to assist individuals in their recovery process
· Refer peers to resources for medical, housing, and detox facilities.
· Assist in Outreach Activities
Applicants must possess good oral, written, and computer skills. Must participate with regional partners at team meetings, prepare reports, and be responsible for data collection.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be a trained Peer Recovery Specialist (completed the 72 hour training) with no less than three years of active recovery. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist preferred. Must be able to support multiple pathways to recovery. Must have reliable internet. Must possess a deep understanding of database management. Redcap experience a PLUS. The ideal candidate must also be available to cover the line for both nights and weekends.

Hourly rate:
Commensurate with experience and training.
