2024 Voices for Recovery Awards and Luncheon

We want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make the 2024 Voices for Recovery Awards and Luncheon such a resounding success. Your presence and support filled the event with messages of hope, inspiration, and courage.

Congratulations to all our winners and nominees! A special shout-out to Delegate Katrina Callsen, our Legislator of the Year; Stephen and Patty Cohen, our Recovery Champions of the Year; SAARA of the Peninsula, our Affiliate of the Year; and Melissa Trinidad Tyler, our Peer of the Year. Your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring.

We also celebrated the remarkable contributions of Lynda Clark, who received the Excellence in Service Award for over 15 years of unwavering commitment to SAARA of Virginia. Additionally, we honored our former board president, Frederika Jones, with the President's Lifetime Achievement Award for her exceptional leadership and service.

A heartfelt thank you to Senator John Bell and Rev. Dana Sally Allen, our keynote speakers, for their powerful and motivating words. We were also deeply honored by the warm welcome messages from the First Lady of Virginia Suzanne S. Youngkin and Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger.

I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the incredible SAARA team for organizing such a memorable event and to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for hosting us in their beautiful venue.
