72 Hour Peer Recovery Training

This training is mandatory for the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification with the Virginia Certification Board (VCB). This training is for adults who have lived experience with substance use disorders and/or mental health challenges or a supporter of a family member or loved one who has gone through these challenges. This course is ideal for a candidate who is grounded and an active participant in their recovery.

• Training manuals will be given out at the beginning of the course for review.

• Certain barrier crimes unfortunately may prevent certain individuals from continuing on to become a Certified PRS.

• You must have adequate equipment to access the internet and participate in a virtual class.
