REVIVE! Training

REVIVE! is the Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education (OONE) program in Virginia. REVIVE! training is one strategy in the harm reduction toolbelt designed to overcome the negative consequences of opioid use. Harm reduction is a practice that protects both individual and community health by addressing unnecessarily dangerous, and often deadly, realities of substance use.

In this training, participants will be taught how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose emergency by administering naloxone, or Narcan— a nasal spray proven to rapidly reverse opioid overdoses.

People in active addiction, individuals in recovery, family members of those who struggle with addiction, and all able-bodied community members would benefit from having this emergency, life-saving training.
